Friday of the Second Week of Lent

“The Lord always remembers. Even in the bad times he remembers us. And this is our hope. And hope does not disappoint. Never. Never. Idols always disappoint; they are make-believe; they are not real. Here is the wonderful reality of hope: in trusting in the Lord, we become like him.” — Pope Francis

Reflection: Hope is one of the theological virtues. Hope begins with, draws toward, and ends in the One, Triune God. Hope is the habit of desiring the kingdom of heaven and trusting that true happiness comes from relying on Christ rather than on our own strengths. When have you seen people living out the virtue of hope?
